Typical Florida awards range from $7,700–$8,500 per student, which may be applied toward our $12,000 annual tuition.

Sawyer STREAM Academy is a registered private school with the Florida Department of Education (Code 4644) and complies fully with all reporting and funding requirements.
Academic Expectations
Our curriculum is rigorous and future-focused, combining Advanced Placement – modeled (AP) courses with Project-Based STREAM Labs and vocational experiences. Students admitted through any scholarship or voucher must commit to:
- Maintaining at least an 80% average in every subject,
- Attending school regularly (no more than 5% absences from our 180-day academic year), and
- Completing 40 hours of community or charity service each year (20 per semester).
Success at Sawyer STREAM Academy requires both diligence and dedication — students must be ready to meet high academic and personal standards within our Culture of Care.
Step-by-Step: How to Apply
A. Apply for Your Scholarship or Voucher
- Visit StepUpForStudents.org and choose the program that fits your family’s needs.
- Gather documents: proof of residency, income verification, and any support documents.
- Complete the online application and upload all required files.
- Await approval and your award notification from Step Up For Students.
- Send your award confirmation to Sawyer STREAM Academy’s Financial Aid Coordinator at finance@sawyer-academy.org for verification and processing.
B. Complete the Sawyer STREAM Academy Admissions Process
- Contact Us: Submit an inquiry or call the Admissions Office.
- Entrance & Diagnostic Exams: Free assessments determine placement and readiness.
- Interview: Student and parent/guardian meet with school leadership.
- Submit Records: Provide transcripts, report cards, and testing history.
- Acceptance & Enrollment: Upon acceptance, sign the enrollment contract agreeing to all school and scholarship standards.
- Orientation: Students and families receive course schedules, mentorship information, and support resources.
Tuition & Financial Details
- Annual Tuition: $12,000
- Average Voucher Coverage: $7,700–$8,500
- Balance Options: Payment plans or additional aid available.

Maintaining Your Award
To remain eligible for continued scholarship or voucher support:
- Maintain a minimum 80% average in every subject.
- Abide by all attendance, conduct, and academic honesty policies.
- Complete all assigned projects, coursework, and community service hours.
Academic Probation
If a student’s grade in any subject falls below 80%:
- The student enters a probation period lasting one grading term.
- A support plan is created including tutoring, mentoring, and weekly progress checks.
- The student must restore all grades to 80% or higher to return to good standing.
Revocation Policy
If academic performance or conduct does not meet standards by the end of probation:
- Scholarship or voucher benefits may be revoked by the school.
- Families will receive written notice and an opportunity to appeal.
- Appeals are reviewed by a designated Academic Review Panel.
Service, Attendance & Character
Every student represents the values of Sawyer STREAM Academy:
- Community Service: Minimum 40 hours per year (20 per semester).
- Attendance: Maximum 5% absences out of 180 instructional days.
- Character & Integrity: Adherence to the Student Handbook and Culture of Care expectations.

Q: Can we combine scholarships or use a payment plan?
Yes. Families may combine vouchers with other scholarships or use flexible payment plans.
Q: What happens if grades fall below 80%?
A student support plan is implemented. If grades don’t recover by the end of the probation period, aid may be revoked.
Q: What if attendance or conduct requirements aren’t met?
The school will provide warnings and support. Repeated or unexcused absences beyond 5% or serious conduct issues may result in loss of scholarship eligibility.
