Parents have full visibility of lessons, materials, and assessments.
If any topic feels misaligned with your family’s faith or values, it can be skipped or substituted — as long as your child completes the standards-aligned learning objectives for that subject.

How It Works

Students access their coursework through our interactive online learning platform, Sawyer Academy Online, where every lesson is designed to engage the senses and spark curiosity.

Each course includes:

• Videos, audio lessons, images, and text-based materials that bring each concept to life.
• Interactive quizzes, projects, and exams that assess mastery.
• White-listed educational links that safely extend learning through teacher-approved outside resources.

The result is a program that blends independence with accountability — helping students learn to think critically, creatively, and compassionately.

Self-Paced, Structured, and Supportive

Sawyer Academy Online gives families flexibility — but also the guidance to stay on track.

• Each grade level covers approximately 10 months of instruction, aligning with a traditional academic year.
• Highly motivated students may progress faster, but coursework must be completed within the 10-month window.
• Students may enroll at any time during the year and begin learning immediately.

The program is self-paced, self-study, and parent-led, but never isolating. Our coordinators, teachers, and mentors remain available throughout your child’s educational journey.

Support and Guidance

Even though learning happens at home, no family is ever on their own.

• Online Tutors: Available for a low hourly fee, our tutors provide extra help in specific subjects, AP-modeled coursework, or project-based guidance.
• Homeschooling Coordinators: Review and evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and issue quarterly progress reports (or monthly, upon request).
• Parental Support: Families can request meetings or consultations to discuss student performance, pacing, or enrichment.

Every student receives personalized attention — reflecting our Culture of Care, where every learner is known, valued, and supported.

Parent Training and Empowerment

We believe that confident parents raise confident learners. That’s why every family receives free parent training when they enroll. This self-paced course, available through our Sawyer Academy Online platform, helps parents:

• Learn how to navigate the platform.
• Track assignments, grades, and reports.
• Support and motivate their children through the learning process.
• Understand how to manage project-based and STREAM assignments at home.

Parents may also schedule optional online consultations with our Homeschooling Coordinators for extra guidance and encouragement.

You don’t need to be a teacher — you just need to care. We’ll provide the rest.

High School Opportunities

For Grades 9–12, Sawyer Academy Online offers core courses and career-aligned electives designed to prepare students for life after graduation.

Students can explore:

• Business and Entrepreneurship
• Computer Science and Robotics
• Art, Design, and Music Technology
• Environmental and Health Sciences
• Communication and Media Studies

Students take the same AP-modeled courses as our brick & mortar schools — designed to mirror the depth and rigor of Advanced Placement classes — and may take official AP exams through approved testing centers in their region.

Every homeschool student is also eligible for:

• College and career counseling,
• Transcript and diploma services, and
• Teacher recommendations for university applications.

Sawyer STREAM Academy stays with students for life, providing any help they need, as needed.

Sawyer Academy Online does not share, sell, or distribute any student or parent information.

Personal data is used only for educational and administrative purposes and will only be shared if:

• Requested formally by a parent or guardian, or
• Required by law enforcement through a valid court order.

Our learning platform uses encrypted connections and secure data storage to ensure all student work and communication remain private.

Enrollment Steps

• Submit an Inquiry: Fill out our contact form or email the Admissions Office.
• Assessment & Placement: Parents / Guardians submit past education records for review and evaluation. Students take our free online diagnostic exam for proper placement. A comprehensive report is generated and sent to parents / guardians that indicate strengths, areas for improvement and academic recommendations going forward.
• Parent Orientation & Training: Receive credentials, tutorials, and platform access. Families / Guardians and/or personal tutors complete the free, self-paced parent training course and schedule an optional consultation. Likewise, students complete the online platform-use tutorial.
• Begin Learning: Start coursework, projects, and assessments immediately (whenever the student is ready).
• Ongoing Support: Receive coordinator reviews and quarterly reports to track steady progress.

Enrollment is open year-round, and each academic level should be completed within a 10-month period.
