Personal Learning Paths
Before getting into the curriculum, let’s talk briefly about the Personal Learning Paths. Afterall, it’s through understanding what we need to know that we are able to move forward with confidence and purpose.
Learning Path tracking begins in Kindergarten – actually before KG, since children should know certain things before entering KG.
- BL = Below Level
- OL = On Level (where we want children to be)
- AL = Above Level
When students are in grades 4, 5, and 6, they take standardized exams to ensure they are on track. The exams are written by our professional Assessment Team in line with national standards. (Competency Benmark Exams are similar to MAP tests.)
Standardized exams continue through grade 10. In Grade 9, students choose a career path and complete their high school education taking courses tailored to their chosen career paths. By doing so, students are well on their way to a successful future when they graduate.
