Dear Teachers,
Teachers must remain life-long learners. This is not a cliche’. It is a fact. As life-long learners, it is also important to build a personal network of teachers we can continually learn from. The best way to build a network is to take part in workshops. At Sawyer Scholastics, we are constantly building new and improved teacher workshops for use both online or in person. Some of the workshops we have are:
- International TESOL Certification Course
- Grammar Refresher
- Vehicles for Vocabulary Acquisition
- International General Education Teacher Certification Course
- Classroom Management Refresher for an Active Classroom
- Common Questions about Common Core
- Motivating Students
- Establishing a Collaborative Classroom

Tutoring Opportunities
As a certified tutor with us, you can set your own terms with your students. If you set your own terms, students pay you through our financial services site – thus saving you a lot of hassle. Ask us about the details.
Or, if you’d prefer, you can accept our set rates that we base on student’s individual needs.
Under both opportunities, independent tutors are sent their share of the fees at the end of the month and are responsible for their own taxes. Since we are an American company, we issue 1099 tax forms at the end of each year, as required by law.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that even though our tutors are independent and can set their own schedules (in accordance with their students’ availability), we are always here to help. Tutors use our platform and have access to all of our training and support for free.
